The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) will host a series of webinars to review application guidelines for the 2021 program year of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This year the Department will be distributing CDBG funds through a competitive application process through seven sub funding opportunities.  These opportunities include Owner Occupied Rehabilitation, Downtown Revitalization, Economic Development, Youth Job Training, Planning, Public Works, and Tourism Development.  This year the Department will host three webinars regarding the following topics: 1) funding opportunities, deadlines, and criteria, 2) application exhibits, and 3) the navigation of submitting applications within the DED’s grant management system.

The webinars, which are free and open to the public, are intended to inform and assist applicants who plan to seek CDBG funding during the July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 program year. Visit the DED website for information on grant eligibility, requirements and more: https://opportunity.nebraska.gov/CDBG. Application guidelines for all funding opportunities will be available in early June at https://opportunity.nebraska.gov/CDBGapplication.
