And the “Thriving in Thayer County” award goes to…

Thayer County Economic Development Alliance (TCEDA) is preparing to present the second annual “Thriving in Thayer County '' award. The “Thriving in Thayer County'' award was created in 2022 to celebrate Thayer County businesses that have grown, invested, and accomplished great things here in Thayer County. Last year’s recipient was Free Day Popcorn of Byron. Thayer County is packed with tons of great businesses, and TCEDA is excited to celebrate our county by offering this award. We are pleased to announce that Hebron True Value will be receiving this year’s award. TCEDA board member Chris Roth says, “It is great when a Thayer County business invests in itself. This helps our entire county grow together. Congratulations to True Value for this well deserved honor.”  

True Value is owned and operated by Ryan and Jaime Luttrell of Hebron. This is a business that supports the community, as high schoolers (including Ryan and Jaime’s kids) from the community can often be found helping out around the store. The Luttrells have managed True Value since 2010, and in 2022 they took the next step in growing their business by moving into a larger building and expanding their product and service selection. TCEDA board president Pat Kenner says, “The business community in Thayer County salutes Ryan and Jamie for their financial expansion which adds selection to the population who shops here and economic benefits like sales tax, property valuation and utility revenues to our local residents who live here.”  

The award will be presented to the Luttrells at TCEDA’s 2023 annual meeting on March 16th when TCEDA debuts True Value’s new marketing video directed by Nebraska-Kansas State Line Media as part of the ceremony. The annual meeting is open to the public and we encourage residents, organizations, and businesses to come and celebrate our great county together. We are excited to announce KC Belitz, Chief Operating Officer for Nebraska Community Foundation, as the keynote speaker for the event.
