Out with the old, in with the new! As Thayer County Economic Development Alliance continues to drive growth, their fresh ideas warranted a fresh look. What better way to start the new year than premiering TCEDA’s new logo?

When the time came to create the design, TCEDA chose Noel Photography and Design, owned by local Jennifer Noel Rausch. “Creating logos and brand design for various businesses has been one of the highlights of my career over the last 15 years,” said Rausch, who created the City of Hebron’s logo almost nine years ago.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. With the new logo comes TCEDA’s never-changing goal of working together to provide a strong economic base and quality of life for all Thayer County residents. Rausch’s unique ability to put a client’s imagination into physical form, paired with TCEDA’s Executive Director Carley Bruning’s creative spark, meshed well to ensure the new logo represented TCEDA’s mission. In doing so, the colors were strategically chosen:

  • Blue - Trustworthiness and stability
  • Orange - Energy and excitement
  • Green - Economic harmony and prosperity

The leaf, the final touch, drives home TCEDA’s devotion to Thayer County’s growth, improvement, and long-term success. Though the letters are unparalleled in appearance to represent the ups and downs of life, notice how each letter blends with the next, signifying a unifying strength and unbreakable bond.

Jennifer Noel Rausch, a fan of Thayer County living, was craving a more relaxed and laid-back environment to begin building her business into a full-time career. She said, “I’ve always loved the feel of Thayer County. From the downtown streets that were busy but never crowded to a community full of genuine people and a business district that was just waiting to thrive! So, in 2015, I moved here and started my dream of being a self-employed photographer and graphic designer … and haven’t looked back since.”

When Rausch opened her business, TCEDA wasn’t the behind-the-scenes business partner it is today. She said, “Instead, some of the amazing established businesses stepped in to help guide me in getting started. A testament to what a driven community we have here in Thayer County.” Rausch boasts about TCEDA’s positive impact since Bruning accepted the position in 2020, when she said, “Our ready and willing community made for the perfect place for a passionate and determined force like Carley to step into the executive director position. Now, those same established businesses have a solid resource to pour into to continue to help achieve our goals.”

Rausch’s portrait and design services are nationwide. Currently, her farthest clients are from North Central Colorado. However, she is looking to break that mileage record for away clients. As Rausch’s business grows, she is excited to continue, “Thriving in Thayer County.” When asked what she wanted people to know about the future of Noel Photography and Design:

“There’s something about Thayer County, and the future here is looking bright. With the growth of our downtown district, I moved my business into a larger building and expanded my offerings to serve my clients more genuinely. I’m looking forward to many more years of creating for all kinds of individuals, businesses, and organizations with the hope that one day I’ll play a part in paying it forward to a new business, by giving what was given to me: A jumpstart at living my wildest dreams!”
