As summer quickly approaches, residents prepare to spend the hottest days in the most fun ways and invite you to join in the joy! With 11 communities complementing, not competing, the spirit of comradery defines Thayer County.
Must-Attend Summer Events
Summer is the best time to create new memories, from solo travels to social voyages to family trips. Though Chesterfest and the Thayer County Fair are the two largest attractions for non-residents, Thayer County has multiple events in June, July, and August for residents and tourists to equally enjoy. So, choose your month, select your event(s), and celebrate the summer in the center of it all!

- Thayer County Health Services Annual Freedom Fun Run - July 4th

- Davenport Achievement Days - July 11th - 13th
- Jennifer Reinke Public Library - Missoula Children’s Theatre - July 19th
- Bruning Days - July 25th - 27th
August
- Thayer County Fair - August 6th - 9th
- Byron Bash - usually late August
Remember, the more events you attend, the more memories you create. Though many of the above events are long-standing traditions, Thayer County is ready for this summer to be the best one yet!
Music Moves the Masses
It’s no secret that music shifts moods, and live music enhances the experience. The following events will have concerts and entertainers sharing their musical talents for all to enjoy:
- Deshler Daze will have several small concerts on Friday and Saturday.
- Chesterfest is a concert in itself featuring the sounds of Bourbon Street, Diamond Rio, and Jared “Pete” Gile.
- Thayer County Fair features a Saturday concert, and Beer Garden entertainment on Friday and Saturday.
- Bruning Days includes “Polka in the Park” on Friday & other music on Saturday.
- Hebron’s 4th of July weekend starts with a concert on July 3rd and another before the fireworks on July 4th.
So, if you aren’t the athletic or adventurous type to partake in the activities for all ages that are offered throughout the vast summer of events, we urge you to attend. You don’t want to miss the ample opportunities to bond with your community and enjoy the music!
