As we prepare for 2025, Thayer County Economic Development Alliance (TCEDA) is reflecting on the success of 2024, and thanking all residents for helping Thayer County thrive!
Your community involvement makes our county a great place to live, work, and grow. Each time you purchased from a local business, you assisted friends, families and neighbors with their businesses and helped dreams come true. Each time you attended a community-based event, bonds were strengthened and new hometown memories were created. Each time you donated or volunteered, you opened your hearts and confirmed humanity is still alive. Thank you!
TCEDA’s 2024 Successes
In 2024, TCEDA made significant strides to improve Thayer County. Here’s a snapshot of what we accomplished:
- Continued Efforts Fostering Future Innovators: Inspiring the next generation of tech wizards, TCEDA collaborated with the Thayer County School and Industry Committee which launched a Jr./Sr. High Robotics Team.
- Secured a Brighter Future: Assisted in capturing multiple grants to fund current and future community projects, ensuring long-term economic viability.
- Simplified Access to Countywide Childcare Information: Developed a one-stop-shop website for Thayer County Child Care that will launch in 2025.
- Improved Housing: Completed the three housing projects in Bruning, Davenport, and Deshler with the Deshler house becoming home to a Deshler family.
- Advocated for Growth: Hosted Senator Deb Fischer and her team for a Hebron tour, discussing economic development strategies to elevate Hebron & Thayer County.
For more information on the above projects, reach out to us. We’d be more than happy to further educate you on how these successes will benefit Thayer County now and in the future.
Thank You for Shopping Locally
Local businesses are the backbone of small communities, so when we say, “Every dollar counts,” we mean it. Did you know that your everyday purchases have a ripple effect within the county? When you shop locally, you’re investing in the future of Thayer County and your immediate neighborhood. For every dollar you spend at a local business, roughly 63% is recirculated within the community supporting jobs, schools, and infrastructure.
TCEDA’s role in the community is to enhance the quality of life through economic growth efforts, helping Thayer County be sustainable and prosperous. Our mission is to support businesses in achieving their goals, securing grant funding, marketing & promotions, and more.

Being natives of Thayer County makes their story that much more awesome to tell.
